Farewell 2012..... (MY FAV POST)

‘’In 2012 I will achieve my perfect weight, get my perfect job, find the perfect man, buy the perfect house and car and settle down to a perfect life’’. That’s the ending I would have gone with if I was in charge of the planet, but all any of us get to be in charge of is who we are in our own stories. In this story I want to say, Don’t torment yourself with regret! You know them, ‘I shouldn’t have spent all that money on .....’, ‘I should have ....’ What can I say? Fantasies fade, plans unravel, things change, and we grieve for the past as if the past were a fallen friend. But for all our coulda, woulda, shouldas, we should be keenly aware that we are on borrowed time. 

This knowledge should make us sit up and take notice of every bittersweet second. When time is of the essence, you pay attention, you splurge on things u consider, well, splurges, you don’t let anything, anything at all, go unspoken, you watch, you memorize, you love a little harder. 

In 2012, I watched, I gave and took, I read and travelled, I tried and failed, I despaired and rallied, I protested, I Lost,I persevered. And though I did not find ‘the one’ I found one that loved and loves in a world that love doesn’t come easy (JESUS). I found a sea of people and some of them I’m priviledge to call friends. I should name names but instead ill say ‘Lucky me’. 

To 2012, thanks! You thought me life is joy and sorrow, hand in hand. And that, my friends, is all I know. That and this, I’ll see you in 2013.

You live in wuse, you are in luck. There are recreational parks spread around the city that caters to that sort of thing, but ultimately you can head to millennium park, lots of space and you might find other dads with the same idea and you guys can form a team. Good luck

If you have small kids, wonderland and Maitama amusement park. For older kids, you can go to the Dome in central area, they have lots of games and a great bowling alley where not only they will enjoy but you and your girls as well.

Looking sharp and tipping the bouncers at the gate goes a long way, but you can just make it easier and get a membership card, most of the clubs in the city use this.

My friends and I use to have a lil fishing expedition every sunday afternoon to abacha barrack before it got bombed. Really Sunday afternoon fun is an individual thing except there is a comedy event. You can head to Silverbird and catch a movie, or head to dome for bowling, oling nitendo wii or snooker. Picnic @ mellinium park with friends or a significant other . Also you can attend the GAP(guild of artist and poets) meet that happens every Sunday.

Im going to say church, sorry. Also I will say the supermarket, the cafes, work etc. any where you can find people im sure you can meet somebody. Im no match maker and I really cant say any one particular place has good or bad girls but I will just advice you to also garner up courage to walk up to ladies and talk to them when you see them at work, supermarket, the movies, events etc as a man im sure you will be able to figure out a lady you are interested in by chating with her.
